This is a great example of how to do your first pub and get it right. One large room with windows onto the street which open completely in good weather, and lots of wood, exposed brick and those fancy lightbulbs which are apparently a pre-requisite of any modern pub. Just a couple of minutes’ walk from Highbury and Islington tube, with its excellent connections via the Victoria Line. 20 keg, 4 casks and around 60 bottles on a seriously high quality list. Food will rotate. Our second visit was even more impressive than the first, so we've upgraded it to a Guide 'top pick'.
