This is German Kraft’s third London location after Mercato in Elephant and Mercato Mayfair, each having its own brewery. In this the newest venture the understated frontage gives little away, and it’s a great surprise to find such a stunning little brewery in the basement, alongside a tiny distillery. German Kraft’s beers have always been good, but we were particularly impressed with the west coast pale ale, the first of their beers we’ve had which isn’t a German style beer. NB: accommodation is available upstairs in ‘Kingsland Locke’.

Branch of German Kraft Brewery that has it's own brewery, and distillery, on site. 6 taps serve beers from all of their sites plus a guest. Staff will happily tell you what is brewed where. Striking set up with all of the tanks behind the bar. Go downstairs to the toilets and you can get a look at the cute little distillery. Opens early every day but beer available from 12:00.
