After three attempts to make it work, BrewDog have finally given up on this site just up Essex Road from Islington Green, and it’s now been taken on by an independent operator. The distinctive booth seating remains but some armchairs have been added, otherwise the layout is pretty much the same as in its last BD incarnation. They offer 15 drafts, and around 10 cans, with the focus being London – mainly East London – breweries. Future plans include installation of a vending machine offering more cans, and they also plan to resurrect the old BD brewing equipment and become a brewpub. Food is pizzas, there’s wifi and they are dog friendly.
