This is the second bottle shop bar from Ghost Whale, whose first branch is in Brixton. They’ve totally transformed the old Beer Boutique space in Putney and turned it into what is perhaps slightly more bar than bottle shop - either way, it fulfils both functions beautifully. There’s comfy seating in the windows, and a large high table with seating in the middle of the shop, between two substantial banks of fridges - offering full refrigeration for all bottles/cans - down either side. The c.8 drafts are dispensed from the taps on the back wall, and offer the usual superb selection we’ve come to expect from Ghost Whale. NB: card only, no cash.

One of my favourite London bars. Always a great selection of interesting beers on the 8 taps. And then there is the fridges! 10 of them packed with packaged beers from all over the world. If you can't find something to drink here then you simply don't like beer! The small space and its popularity means it can get busy, but equally you can time your visit right and just relax with some quality beers.
